“simple strategies for effective solutions”

I listen to your story and we find a plan to help you

Our clinic has moved and we are currently seeing people online only. However, if you do feel like you need to see me in person we could find a solution (it would probably be a small room in my house).

Greg sees patients with a variety of conditions.  While elite athletes with sport injuries can seem very different from the average person suffering with knee arthritis or disabling low back pain the approach is surprisingly similar.  We work together to find ALL of the contributors to your pain and injury and come up with a comprehensive plan that allows you to self manage, recover and cope with future problems.   Fundamentally, we work together to get you living how you want.

What do we offer?

We aren’t your typical physio clinic. We don’t do a lot of passive treatments (machines, ICE, ultrasound). Our approach really sees you as a partner with us. We believe that education about your problem leads to better decisions. And that a lot rehabilitation is best managed with active approaches that keep you doing the things you love. Although we probably like talking to you we don’t want to see you a lot. For the majority of people we might only do one or two sessions to get you a plan to help yourself. A few emails of support and you can be doing great. Sometimes, recovery takes time and we might see you 1x/month for a few months. I will work with you to find the best plan

Physio Services

Assessment and treatment

This is how we start our recovery strategies together. We have an initial assessment session of approximately 60 plus minutes to learn as much about you and your problem and then we work together on coming up with a recovery plan, based on your goals, that works with you. Sometimes, a single session is sufficient and other times we need follow up sessions. Again, our goal is to minimize the number of sessions you need. We know you are busy and value your time

online pain coaching

This is for those people who are not in the province of Ontario and we would like to discuss their pain problem. Ideally, you have already seen a healthcare professional and our looking for understanding and a complimentary plan to help your pain problem.

Please check out the free Recovery Strategies Pain Guidebook first. 1000s have been helped with the information in this book alone.

STandard Follow up

Our follow up sessions are typically 45 minutes in length. This is typically longer than most physiotherapy sessions as we are trying to minimize your in person time commitment and would rather see you for a longer session than more frequent, albeit shorter sessions. The extra time allows for a more thorough treatment session and ensures that you are on the right track to recovery

Physio FITNESS TRAINING

If you are active, want to get active or want to get fitter in anyway but are also in pain or are worried about injuries than I can help . Whatever it is you are training for we can perform a needs analysis to help get you recovered to function at the highest level you can. Our small studio is also a well equipped gym. In addition to being a Physio Greg has been a strength and conditioning specialist for more than 20 years. We can help reach your fitness goals.

Skype follow up

Sometimes, we don’t need to see you in person after we have done a thorough assessment and treatment session in person. Skype sessions are great for problem solving, changing your exercise routine, checking in on managing your contributors to pain and for answering any questions you have.

persistent pain physio

Our approach is more about coaching, working with you to find sustainable solutions and tailoring an approach to your needs than one that provides a quick fix.

Our approach is very similar to Cognitive Functional Therapy. You can read more about this approach here and see if you think it will work for you.
